Mark Richard Fleming,
The British
Gardener
“The Purest of Human Pleasures”
Francis Bacon
The 16th-century English philosopher Francis Bacon described the garden as ‘the purest of human pleasures’. And so it is. Especially when it is a garden that suits you, belongs in its surroundings and looks beautiful throughout the year.

I’m Mark Fleming and I work throughout the Amsterdam region.
Drawing on the rich English gardening tradition, I make, maintain and restore gardens that are and remain ‘a pleasure’. Whether you have a 25 m2 city garden or half a country park in Het Gooi. I’ve created gardens of all shapes and sizes in the south of France, the United States (Atlanta), England and Mallorca. And now I’m based in Muiden, just outside of Amsterdam.
On this website, you can find out more about me and my work. Would you like to meet for an informal, no-obligation chat? Get in touch [add email link]. I’d be delighted to visit you. On most Wednesdays you may also find me working as a volunteer in the magnificent castle gardens of the Muiderslot. These gardens are well worth a visit in their own right, and it would be a pleasure to meet you there in such an inspiring setting.
